Welcome to Eyes on Petone’s twice-yearly newsletter. We’re keen to share some news about our birthday, farewells and welcomes, our Mother’s Day contest, and remind you of ways to connect with us.
Our birthday
We’re celebrating Eyes on Petone’s first birthday on 2 May, marking a year since Laura and Brian bought the practice and re-launched it with a new name and brand.
It’s been a great first year - thanks to all of our new and continuing patients. We look forward to being your local, independent optometrist for many years to come.
Farewell Ella and welcome Kirsty
In March, we farewelled Ella, our customer service star, who has headed off on her big OE.
Kirsty joined the team in March, having previously worked in a Wellington optometrist practice. Kirsty’s customer service role means she’s usually the first person you see or talk to at Eyes on Petone. She loves to chat and get to know our customers.
Mother’s Day contest - enter draw for a $200 voucher in-store 9-20 May
Sunday 14 May is Mother’s Day and we’re celebrating with a contest for Mums (including step-mothers, grandmothers, aunts or anyone filling a “mum” role in someone’s life).
Visit us at 245 Jackson Street and give us your Mum’s details to be in the draw to win a $200 Eyes on Petone voucher. We’re accepting entries in-store until a week after Mother’s Day, i.e. until 20 May, and will draw the winner on 21 May.

Our three optometrists - Kevin, Leith and Catherine - are available on different days so you can choose who to see and when. We can also book a time for you to see Laura to select and pick up your spectacles, contacts or for a repair.
