Eyes on … Scout Scarf Day

Eyes on Petone is pleased to support Scout Scarf Day, 1 August 2022. #scoutscarfdaynz

On Scarf Day, active and former Scouts wear their Scout scarves in public to make the "Spirit of Scouting" visible: Once a Scout - Always a Scout!

Eyes on Petone doesn't open on Mondays, so we’re displaying three local Scout scarves in our window over the weekend:

  • St Augustine's Scout Group, based on Udy Street, Petone

  • St James Sea Scout Group, based on Marine Parade, Petone; and

  • Lower Hutt Zone - covering the ten Scout groups in Lower Hutt.

Laura and Brian are both Scout Leaders and members of the Lower Hutt Zone Team.

Scouting empowers youth through adventurous experiences to lead lives that make a positive difference. Scouting is the world’s largest non-formal education institution, serving over 13,000 young people all across New Zealand. See scouts.nz for more information.
